Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic Paints are a multi-surface, fast dry, matte paint. They do not require an undercoat such as gesso (gesso is a chalk base, and these are chalk paints, so think of it as having multiple shades of gesso!).

Across the full collection there are now 182 colour options. You will discover a mix of opacity across all the colours too. High opacity means high coverage, low opacity means lower coverage. The low opacity tend to be brighter, warm colours (reds, oranges, yellows) these are perfect for adding translucent layers, when you colour in for example, and also for colour mixing and layering. Opaque paints tend to be better for those people who are new to painting adventures, as you can add colour layers on top of each other without making mud!.
